MZX Technology embraces the best in both analogue and digital electronics to provide fast and accurate fire detection. Extensive loop addressing and communication over a 2km loop using digital protocol to a central processing location, provides reliability and a lifetime of economy. A comprehensive range of sensors, sounders and beacons, ancillaries and call points ensure there are no compromises when designing systems.
Progressive software development keeps pace with new technology and a comprehensive range of available spares together with backwards compatibility ensures long life and the maximum return on investment.
Control Panels (Land)
PROFILE Flexible Range
PROFILE Flexible is a powerful fire detection and alarm system that uses MZX Technology at its heart. MZX Technology was originally designed for operation in the most hostile of environments, therefore the system is highly resilient to external factors such as electrical noise, including interference from electrical signals from other devices, and sources of false alarm.
The MZX range of addressable panels provides a perfect fit for all sizes of system from a single panel and 125 devices to a network of 99 panels and up to 99000 devices. A simple yet powerful user interface is common to all panels, modular construction allows upgrades and extensions, and a range of repeater options provides for those occasions when small and discreet is key.
Control Panels (Marine/Offshore)
Tyco Integrated Fire & Security offer a range of control panels specifically designed for off-shore applications. All the control panels offer industry-leading functionality, together with the peace of mind of being approved by all the leading Marine Approval Bodies such as the Marine Equipment Directive, Lloyds Register, the Loss Prevention Certification Board and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Tyco’s marine approved range of control panels offer the same powerful user interface, modular construction and range of repeater options provided by their land-based alternatives.
Detectors and Bases - IEC 61508 Approved (SIL2)
MZX sensors and multisensors integrate the best in sensor technology with powerful software that provides fire detection to suit all risks and all possible scenarios. The software allows the detection to be optimised to suit the building, its occupancy and therefore the risk. Changing detection modes, changing sensitivity and changing cause and effect are all features available under the day/night mode operator function key. Detection technologies include Carbon Monoxide, Smoke, Heat and Flame, some of which are combined in powerful algorithms to provide fast detection and reduce unwanted alarms, even in the harshest of environments.
Tyco’s range of callpoints includes both indoor and outdoor models. Callpoints can be flush or surface mounted as a selection of back boxes and bezels are available. Anti-tamper devices are also available which fit around the unit making it less likely for persons to attempt malicious activations.
Sounders and Beacons
MZX sounders and beacons offer the designer a comprehensive range of equipment to meet the requirements of all building types and for all occupancies. Many devices are loop powered saving the installer from having to run additional cables at additional cost. Sounders and beacons are often combined into a single unit offering further savings. Tyco also now offer an EN 54-23 compliant range of visual alarm devices to compliment the range of audible alarm devices available.
Tyco offers a range of solenoid and motorised bells, together with a wide range of electronic sounders including loop-powered models such as the LP Symphoni sounders, general purpose electronic sounders such as the Banshee and Roshni sounders and voice enhanced sounders such as the FireCryer® Plus.
24V LED beacons, single gang lamp/buzzer units and Flashni units are available, as are a range of sounder/beacon bases including the Banshee Excel Lite sounder beacon and the Easy AV™ Retrofit LED Beacon.
Tyco also now offers an EN54-23 compliant range of visual alarm devices. EN54-23 is the mandatory standard for all visual alarm devices (VAD) used on fire systems as a primary means of alarm. Our addressable loop powered sounder base meets the requirements of EN54 part 3 whilst the loop powered addressable sounder with beacon base is also approved to EN54 part 23 as an open category device.
