Intruder alarm systems provide the optimum protection when used in conjunction with an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). In the event of an alarm condition the Intruder System will send a signal to the Alarm Receiving Centre who will then take appropriate action, e.g. summon police, fire brigade etc.

There are several ways of transmitting the signal from the site to the Alarm Receiving Centre. The method of signalling will depend on the level of risk associated with the premises.
The RedCare range of signalling devices include RedCare Secure IP, RedCare Secure, RedCare Secure Solo, RedCare 5g STU 11 pin and RedCare 5G-GSM.
RedCare Secure IP
Redcare Secure protects customers with a choice of a grade 2, 3 or 4 dual path alarm signalling or grade 2 wireless only alarm signalling, using BT’s trusted Redcare network. The dual path system ensures that, if one path fails, there is another signalling path allowing any critical alarm messages to reach the ARC. The alarm signalling paths are provided by wireless mobile phone technology and a phone line or broadband (IP connection) to deliver the alarm signal.
Redcare Secure is an alarm signalling system that comes in two platforms. Depending on the risk level of your business premises and your technology preference you can choose between Secure 2 (for Grade 2 risk), Secure 3 (Grade 3 risk).
Redcare Secure Solo
The RedCare Secure Solo is a grade 2 signalling device which is specifically designed for use in commercial premises where no land line is available. The unit can be used anywhere that has a good GPRS signal. Redcare Secure and Secure Solo protect customers with a choice of a grade 2, 3 or 4 dual path alarm signalling (Secure) or grade 2 wireless only alarm signalling (Secure Solo), using BT’s trusted Redcare network.
RedCare 5g STU 11 pin
The 5th Generation Subscribers Terminal Unit (5G STU) is a communicator for signalling alarm signals between a protected premises and an alarm receiving centre (ARC). The 5G STU uses the extremely reliable BT redcare network to convey the messages over a redcare enabled BT analogue PSTN line. Even if an intruder cuts the line and jams the radio signals an alarm message will still rapidly be sent to the ARC.
RedCARE GSM is a combined Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) subscriber terminal unit (STU) and wireless alarm reporting device for the BT RedCARE service. This STU is to be used for new installations but can be used for old control panels as replacements, as it incorporates backward compatibility. BT Redcare GSM has an ATS rating of 5 as per table 11 of “prEN50131-1 2004 for the primary path and ATS rating of 4 for the radio path and complies with the requirements of PD6662:2004.

CSL DualCom - GPRS Grade 4 (Gradeshift)
DualCom GPRS is an advanced auto-dialing digital communication device for secure alarm reporting. It is supplied as a “dual path” Alarm Transmission System (ATS) that when fully installed will meet Grade 2, 3, or 4 installations as specified in the EN50136 standard for ATS. DualCom GPRS can transmit alarm signals to an alarm receiving centre via the radio GPRS path, the radio GSM path, the customer’s wired LAN network (IP) in connection with the internet, and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
DualCom GPRS Grade 3
DualCom GPRS, from CSL DualCom Ltd, is an intruder alarm signalling device that uses both the Vodafone network and your telephone path to transmit intruder and personal attack signals at high speed. Once the alarm is confirmed as genuine, police are notified. Utilising two signalling paths ensures that DualCom dual-signalling will always have a back-up path in the event of an accidental or deliberate fault on either path.
DualCom GPRS Grade 2
Grade 2 Dualcom GPRS unit from CSL (CS2322-00) is an intruder alarm signalling device that uses both the Vodafone network and the telephone path to transmit intruder and personal attack signals at high speed. Once the alarm is confirmed as genuine, police are notified. Utilising two signalling paths ensures that DualCom dual-signalling will always have a back-up path in the event of an accidental or deliberate fault on either path. DualCom GPRS Grade2 is the newest member of the tried and tested DualCom family.
CSL Signal Test
The CS2366 is a Radio Test Set for use with GSM and GPRS Radio Networks. The test set will measure and display radio signal strength received, plus levels of received of interference. With the supplied aerial, it may be used to measure surrounding GSM and GPRS base stations and to aid positioning of GSM and GPRS aerial systems, in addition, it may be used to identify sources of interference.
DigiSolo® and DigiPlus® are essentially the same product – the new version of DigiSolo® is able to convert and upgrade to a DigiPlus® either from the point of purchase or at any point in the future. Every DigiSolo® is connected to DualCom’s Gemini managed network free of charge but is not enabled with the features of DigiPlus® until activated. The DigiSolo®/DigiPlus® single hardware platform was developed in conjunction with Vodafone to fit between any existing digital communicator and the telephone line providing an improved and robust signalling solution.
WebWay Pro (MK 6) is a dual path IP signalling service with roaming secondary path to 8 different radio networks and 2 radio services (3G and GPRS).
Applications include network monitoring, alarm transmission, verification using IP cameras, UDL and ARM/D. 3 additional expansion interfaces offer a totally future proofed solution capable of integrating to multiple third party systems. The Communicator Pro is provided with a unique 3G Roaming radio path. With more network paths to roam there are fewer false alarms and unnecessary key holder call outs.
